February 23, 2008 Polar Bear Plunge at Hart State Park watch as members of the community plunge into the ice cold lake for a good cause. 706-376-5825

April 19, 2008 Antique Boat Festival 10-4 at Hartwell Marina come and take a look at the display of antique boats.

May 3, 2008 Annual Lake Hartwell Dam 5k Run call 706-376-8590 for details

June 27-28 Pre 4th Event Bring the family downtown the 27 for a night of dancing, food, and fun. Be sure to come back the next day for the arts and crafts and games on the square. That evening enjoy the fireworks at dusk over the dam.
